Pedal fast because the Tour De Georgia is a can’t miss event for Thomaston, April 17. Things will get started before hundreds of cyclists come to town that Tuesday with concerts, a Taste of Thomaston and a bike ride to raise money for the Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce.

For more than 20 years now, the Bakersfield attorney has been throwing Kern County-style barbeques for servicemen and women in the Navy as a show of appreciation. He rounds up several dozen folks who pay their own way to serve Harris Ranch steaks and all the fixings to those serving our country in the military.
